UCAS Confirmation
UCAS Confirmation: What does it mean for you?
What is UCAS Confirmation?
UCAS Confirmation is the process where you are advised of your success at getting your university place. Confirmation letters (AS12b) are sent to you by UCAS as soon as your results (grades) are accepted by your chosen university. UCAS also confirms your university place within the UCAS TRACK system.
UCAS Confirmation outcomes:
- UCAS Confirmation: You get the grades you need - You will automatically secure your place but you must let us know by emailing your acceptance to: kay.morris@aber.ac.uk.
- UCAS Confirmation: You don’t quite get the grades you need for your firm (CF) offer - Dependent upon the popularity of that course you may still be offered your firm place. Find out what happens if you narrowly miss your offer here. If your firm place is unable to accept you, then you will automatically be offered your insurance place if you meet the grades requested.
- UCAS Confirmation: Clearing - We will not be offering UCAS Clearing places in 2011
- UCAS Confirmation: Adjustment – We will not be offering UCAS Adjustment places in 2011
When you meet the terms of your offer with us it is vitally important that you respond to your AS12b by sending a confirmation email to kay.morris@aber.ac.uk that you will be accepting your place at Aberystwyth University. If you do not confirm your acceptance we will not be able to guarantee your accommodation.
If you want to visit the university before commencing your studies with us you are very welcome to register on the September 14th Open Day. Secure your place here.
If you are unable to attend our Open Day but would like a look around the main University campus, we will be conducting a series of informal campus tours in August and September. You can book your tour here.
