Careers Advisory Service

Great Hall, Arts Centre (2)

The main purpose of the Careers Service is to help our students develop self-awareness, motivation and a positive attitude and to help them understand the range of skills, experiences, abilities and expertise that they have gained and how those relate to the world of work.  Engaging across the whole University with all departments, we strive to ensure that our students are able to take advantage of a broad range of opportunities that will allow them to develop employability skills in a number of different ways. Our aim is to offer a range of services that will encourage students to:

  • Develop
  • Understand
  • Aspire
  • Reflect
  • Achieve

To make sure that this happens, we work closely with academic departments to offer relevant careers education within each subject area, we administer a broad range of work experience opportunities and we arrange for employers and work-related organisations to visit the University and engage with our students on campus.

Come and speak with us to find out more about: Year in Employment Scheme, on-campus work opportunities, and jobs offered locally, graduate work, GO Wales and its options, alumni engagement, employer sessions and so much more.
