Postgraduate Funding and Fees

These pages aim to give you an idea of the cost of the course that you're interested in, and information on any sources of funding that may be available to you. Please note that the funding available to you is dependent upon your residential category and the type of course you choose to study. Aber-Grad Discount Scheme

We offer a 10% discount in Taught Masters tuition fees for alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree from Aberystwyth University. (Conditions Apply).

Individual Learning Voucher Scheme (ILVS)

This scheme offers unemployed graduates living in Wales an opportunity to take further study in order to enance their employability. The fund is only available for taught courses, ideally Masters degrees, in the 2010/2011 academic year. The ILVS is designed to help graduates access Higher Education by giving a 75% discount on tuition fees (subject to eligibility criteria and funding availability). Taught Programmes

MA MSc, MScEcon, LLM, MBA, MRes, PGDE

These programmes will be based primarily on a combination of lectures, seminars, tutorials, study schools. A third of the credits for a taught masters degree will be awarded for the successful completion of a masters dissertation.

Research Programmes

PhD, MPhil and LLM by Research

These programmes are based purely or predominantly on the student's own research under the guidance of at least one supervisor. The conclusions of the research will be submitted as a research thesis.  Doctoral studies are supported in the first year by the University's Research Training Programme.
