Want to Coach Sport?
If you are interested in teaching / coaching in a specific sport, the following coaching qualifications and certificates, have been organised to allow you to pick up a National Governing Body (NGB) and National Coaching Foundation (NCF) Award. These are excellent opportunities to pick up additional qualifications whilst at University. Such 'value added' qualifications are fully recognised, and are ideal for anyone thinking of a possible career in sport or leisure.

STA Pool Lifguard Qualification - NaRS
Registration of names are currently being taken to deliver a course over the summer holiday period. More information on course content can be found on the Swimming Teachers Association website, with a template of whats covered on those days listed here Easter 2010 Template.
The cost for this course including examination fee, manual and training will be £160.00.

Fitness Wales Gym Instructors Course - Course prerequisite: None
An ideal entry qualificationfor those wanting a career in fitness. This qualification is suitablefor persons who would like to work in a gym and for those who would like to work towards working as a personal trainer or as an exercise referral instructor (NB: additional qualifications are required to work in these additional roles). Persons who sucessfully complete the assessments will be awarded the CYQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing - Gym based exercise (a nationally accredited qualification and REPs recognised).
The cost for this course is - £550.00. A minimum of 6 candidates will be required for the course to run.
