Students abroad: financial arrangements in 2011/12
(N.B. these are subject to change if external rules – HEFCW, UK or EU – change)

Students going abroad are supported as follows:

(a) Erasmus work placement students: 225 Euros per month plus (as appropriate) salary from host school or employer
(b) Erasmus study placement students: grant of 225 Euros per month

In addition to the above, Erasmus students (work and study placement) already receive:

(c) Exemption of fees payable to Aberystwyth University for full year Erasmus students only*
(d) Maintenance loan if eligible
(e) Excellence Bursary if eligible

* The exemption of fees is contingent on Welsh government/HEFCW funding and may not cover the entirety of the fees payable to Aberystwyth University.
